The new injuries will see Baptista start the match with Sheffield United tomorrow hopefully.He has just made thirteen starts for Arsenal this year and the season is half way through .He should take this opportunity and prove that he can be a vital player for Arsenal .He is just on a years loan from Real Madrid .Baptista’s progress suffered a set-back when he picked up a hamstring injury in October. More injury woes for Arsenal

Ahead of the Sheffield match in Bramall lane ,Arsenal are in a bit of a trouble as many players pick up injuries.Emmanuel Adebayor had a thigh injury and Johan Djourou a hamstring but from the performance at Watford i do not think Arsenal will be too concerned with his injury.Theo Walcott's injury will be a big concern for Arsene Wenger as he has a back problem and Alexander Hleb hurt his shin in training on Friday.These four injuries will be a big headache for the manager.I hope they get fit after the new year.And also Cesc Fabregas, Jeremie Aliadiere, Alex Song and Julio Baptista have been struck with a virus as they all suffer from colds but they are in the squad.

Arsenal vs Blackburn full time

Well this match was totally dominated by Arsenal and deservedly so.Arsenal were just magnificent today .The full time score was Arsenal 6-2 Blackburn .It could have been a lot more than that for Arsenal as there were a lot of shots that hit the post.The man of the match for me today was Cesc Fabregas .He totally controlled the mid field today and he made a lot of assists today.If it were not for the post and the keeper ,it would have been ten goals for Arsenal.Gilberto scored the first goal for Arsenal with a header,then Alex Hleb scored the second and Emmanuel Adebayor scored a penalty which was a result of Lucas Neil bringing down Van Persie in the box.In the second half Robin van Persie scored fourth and fifth . Mathieu Flamini scored the sixth goal in injury time.It was a wave after wave of Arsenal attack and Blackburn had absolutely no answer to that.If Arsenal play as they did today ,there is no team in the world that will stop them.At the final whistle, Emirates Stadium roared but perhaps the scoreline did not tell the true story of this wonderful, wonderful game.

Well this was a great football performance by Arsenal .Arsenal conceded the first goal as Ex arsenal player David Bentlay was fouled by Kolo Toure in the box .Shabani Nonda took the penalty and scored the goal .I think this made Arsenal very angry and they slaughtered Blackburn after that.Gilberto score the first goal for Arsenal from a great cross.The second goal was scored by Alexander Hleb after a typical flowing move by Arsenal .The third goal for Arsenal came from the penalty as Robin Van Persia was fouled in the box.This penalty again came from a flowing move by Arsenal.Van Persie took the penalty and scored the goal.It would have been five goals already for Arsenal but Blackburn are lucky in that aspect.The second half is about to start and I hope Arsenal score more goals in the second half as well.I will write about the second half later.

The crazy thing is, the way that we win when we go into the lead and rarely do when we go behind this season is too consistent to be just coincidence. Our dominance on Saturday was no different to the 1-1 draws against Everton, Villa, Middlesbrough and Newcastle yet crucially on this occasion we took the lead. Each of those four teams only had one chance and incredibly they all scored. Spurs had one early on and missed.

All played well on Saturday but Adebayor in particular was absolutely magnificent. His workrate was incredible, his link up play fantastic and superb run and finish sublime. The standing ovation as he left late the field late was testament to his awesome performance.

I was really pleased for Gilberto too. He was another who performed brilliantly and he took both his penalties impressively.

All in all, an enjoyable day. I Love it! Portugal for three days next, it could get very messy.
